Roneki Media – Salah satu event yang paling ditunggu-tunggu tiap tahunnya The Game Awards 2025 (TGA) akan segera dilangsungkan. Acara penghargaan ini menjadi ajang bergengsi untuk mengakui game-game terbaik dari seluruh penjuru dunia.
Pada hari Selasa, 18 November 2025 waktu Indonesia kemarin, akhirnya penyelenggara sudah mengumumkan beberapa nominasi per kategori melalui media social resmi mereka seperti di YouTube.
Penghargaannya sendiri dibagi dalam beberapa kategori di mana 5 sampai 6 game dinominasikan untuk menjadi pemenang. Semua game baik itu DLC, remake, ekspansi, remaster, maupun konten musiman bisa menjadi nominasi asalkan dirilis sebelum 21 November 2025. Mereka yang masuk ke dalam nominasi tersebut dipilih oleh juri yang berasal dari 150 media massa dari seluruh dunia.
Misalnya ada tim juri khusus untuk kategori e-sport, adaptasi, dan aksesibility yang memang memerlukan keahlian di bidang tertentu untuk menganalisis setiap game yang akan menjadi nominasi.

Pemenangnya akan ditentukan berdasarkan pilihan juri sebesar 90 persen dan voting secara publik sebesar 10 persen. Nah berikut ini nomasi di setiap kategori penghargaan yang ada:
Game of The Year The Game Awards 2025
Pada kategori ini akan dikumpulkan game-game yang dianggap memberikan pengalaman terbaik kepada pemain baik dari segi kreativitas maupun teknis.
Karena itulah kategori ini sering dianggap sebagai yang paling bergengsi di antara semua kategori yang ada pada acara TGA, berikut nominasinya:

- Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – Kojima Productions/Sony

Seperti biasanya para nominasi di kategori ini memang semuanya merupakan game yang ternama dengan fanbase yang cukup besar.
Termasuk Expedition 33 besutan Sandfall (dari Sandfall/Kepler Interactive) dan Death Stranding 2 (yang jadi karya produser game terkenal Hideo Kojima). Kedua game ini benar-benar diunggulkan dan para penggemarnya berharap mereka dapat memenangkan penghargaan tersebut.
Sama halnya seperti pemenang GOTY 2024 tahun lalu Astro Bot yang sempat bersaing dengan game-game terkenal lainnya seperti Black Myth Wukong dan Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, sebelum akhirnya secara mengejutkan berhasil menyabet nominasi bergengsi ini.

Sebagian besar nominasi mendapatkan dukungan dari studio besar namun ada juga studio indie yang cukup mumpuni untuk bisa bersaing di penghargaan ini.
Satu hal yang cukup mengherankan adalah Vedinad (Megabonk) yang dinominasikan pada kategori Best Debut Indie Game justru menolak untuk dinominasikan dan menarik diri dari kompetisi ini melalui pernyataan di akun X resmi mereka.
Voting sendiri sudah dimulai sejak nominasi diumumkan sampai tanggal 10 Desember mendatang langsung di website resmi thegameawards.com.
Ada satu kategori khusus yaitu Player’ Voice di mana pemenangnya murni berasal dari voting publik. Namun nominasinya baru akan diumumkan pada 1 Desember 2025 mendatang jadi silahkan ditilik kembali websitenya setelah tanggal tersebut.
Untuk acara The Game Awards 2025 sendiri akan dilangsungkan pada 11 Desember nanti di Los Angeles dan akan disiarkan secara live melalui kanal resmi TGA secara global.
